Hard water contains elevated dissolved calcium and magnesium. When a detergent designed for 50–150 ppm water is used at Dubai's 300–500 ppm, those ions react with the surfactant to form insoluble soap scum - depositing on linen fibres as grey residue, reducing softness and shortening usable linen life.
LAUNDREX POWER PLUS contains Sodium Carbonate at over 30% concentration, which acts as a built-in water softener - it precipitates calcium and magnesium ions from Dubai's water before they can react with the surfactant, so the detergent performs at full efficacy instead of leaving scum behind.
