Member self-cleaning stations: Dubai gyms are expected to provide spray bottles and paper towels or microfibre cloths for members to wipe equipment after use. The spray bottle should contain a diluted antibacterial solution — VT-DS-007 at 1:20 dilution. Provide one station per 10 machines. Refill from the 5L bulk format.

Equipment Wipe Protocol
Spray VT-DS-007 onto a microfibre cloth — never directly onto equipment. Electronics and screens must not be sprayed directly. Wipe all contact surfaces: handlebar, seat pad, display edges, weight selectors.

Locker Room Deep Clean
VT-GC-003 (bathroom cleaner) for tiles and shower descaling. VT-DS-002 (disinfectant) on all surfaces after cleaning. In Dubai's humidity, mould grows fast in shower grout — daily disinfection is not optional.

Mirror Cleaning
Dubai gyms have extensive mirror coverage. Use VT-GC-004 on a clean microfibre cloth for streak-free finish. Direct spray on mirrors causes pooling at the bottom edge. Apply to cloth first.

Hand Sanitizer Placement

How often should gym equipment be cleaned in Dubai?
Dubai Health Authority guidelines recommend equipment contact surfaces be wiped between users — or at minimum every 30 minutes during peak hours. Full wipe-down at end of day. Floors mopped twice daily during peak periods. Locker rooms and showers cleaned and disinfected twice daily. At 20–24°C in a climate-controlled gym, bacterial growth on shared equipment is rapid — frequency is as important as product choice.
Can I use one product for both equipment and floors in my gym?
Vileson Antibacterial Floor and Surface Cleaner (VT-DS-007) can be used for both: diluted 60ml per 5L for floor mopping, and diluted 1:20 in a spray bottle for equipment surfaces. However, for locker rooms and showers, a dedicated bathroom cleaner (VT-GC-003) with descaling properties is recommended because Dubai's hard water builds limescale rapidly on tiles, shower heads and grout.
